About

jeddahforkids

Bio: The authors of Jeddah for Kids are an expat mom duo. We met in Jeddah and became quick friends with a common passion for exploring all Jeddah has to offer our children. However, we found that finding information about kid-friendly activities was difficult. We decided to do something about it. We started a blog, so we could record our experiences at the venues we visit and publish details like hours of operation and contact info that we know other parents would find useful. That's how Jeddah for Kids was born. We hope our posts are helpful and inspire you to get out for some fun with your little ones!

  1. Dear jeddahforkids,

My name is Joyce and I work for ExpatFinder.com.
ExpatFinder.com is a free one stop website for people preparing to move or working and living overseas. We provide a myriad of services for expatriates and we have over 2,000 articles to help and support the people moving around the world and we are now creating an interview section to help the expats with real life experiences!
We quite enjoy your blog about living in Saudi Arabia, it is very interesting and informative. Would it be possible to interview you to further share some of your tips and feature some of your first hand experience as an Expat and your interview will be published on our Expat Interview section as a guide for our expat readers. The questions are mainly about the day to day lifestyle of an expat. If it would be possible, could you also send some photographs that we can use?
Of course, if you accept, we can add a link to your blog or some of your website.
The questions are enclosed, feel free to respond freely. You can return the doc with your answers if you accept this invitation.
Thanks in advance and do let me know if you prefer other means to conduct this interview and we would be happy to accommodate your terms.

    Best regards,
    Joyce

  2. Assalamoalaikum. Hi

I just wanted to say jazakAllah Khair and thank you for posting such great info about activities for kids in Jeddah. I’m from the uk and have found it really difficult in finding info here – until I found this website. Thanks again. God guide and bless.

Look forward to seeing more stuff in the future.

  3. Hello! I just featured your Jeddah For Kids site on my blog. I also provided a list of helpful links so we (or I as a reader..haha) can easily go through the former lists you’ve created, as I go back to them from time to time. Thank you for your patience and great effort in providing very useful information! =) God bless!

    1. I would recommend you check with Friends Zone, Dynamic Code Center, or Enchanted Garden. These three offer gymnastics, but you would need to call them yourself to see if they are offering classes this month.

    1. We are not a company that offers children’s activities, we simply provide parents information. If you google our post on Party Entertainers you will find several companies listed that might be able to help you with your search.

  6. Hi. Your website is very helpful. But I am not able to find categories in menu. For example if I want to see which all different activities are available in jeddah for kids. Or a list of playgroups. Could you please help me that.
    Thank you.

    1. On out blog you have to search it by activity. So if you want ballet type ballet into search box, toddler activities type toddler activities, etc… There is not a drop down menu.

  7. Hello, i’m looking for things to do during the summer with my 6 month old daughter. Anything like Gymboree?

    Like

    1. Hello Noora–There is no Gymboree in Jeddah. The best that we can offer is a play center like Snowy Forest in either Red Sea Mall or Jamea Plaza. They both have infant/toddler areas. Also there is a sand play area in the food court of Red Sea Mall that many younger kids enjoy. Village Tots playgroup runs once a week (you can google our article on that).

  9. Hello,
Thank you very much for your help and support for our kids. Your blog helps parents a lot to find many good activities .I would like to have your opinion on starting a math club in Jeddah for middle school students . How can I contact moms and ask them their opinions if this kind of club will be beneficial for our kids ? I live in very nice and safe western compound and can arrange a room here .
Looking forward to hearing from you soon

    1. Hello Sibel. This sounds like a wonderful idea. I would encourage you to pursue it. We frequently advertise for math programs offered by one of our members. I would also recommend you scroll though our Facebook Page to find some of her ads, the teacher might have some suggestions as well.

    1. There are many ballet centers in Jeddah so you must choose your facility and they will give you directions and payment options. For the full list of facilities Google “Jeddah for Kids ballet”.
