Village Tots is lovely playgroup ideal for children aged 0-3 years old. Mothers can interact, sip coffee, and of course, play with their little ones. A variety of play areas are arranged around the room where children can read books, or play with toys. I only attended once when I first arrived in Jeddah, because I was eager to make some connections. My son was a bit too big for the toys, since they were intended for the 0-3 crowd. He did of course, enjoy snack time, music time, the parachute and bubbles. There is usually a craft for the kids to work on as well.
The fee is 20SR per family, to cover the cost of snacks and supplies. They meet every Wednesday from 930-1130 at the British Consulate’s Village Hall Room. This is open to all nationalities, but reservations via email are required to gain access.
I attended a group like this in another country when my son was small, and it was a weekly highlight for me. The group provided a much-needed sense of community, especially as a first-time mom so far from home.
If you are interested, please send a Request to the Village Tots Facebook page here. An administrator will contact you with the details, but you may not be accepted into the group until you have attended one of the meetings.
Please note that we are not affiliated with Village Tots. We hope we have educated you a bit about this group, but if you still have questions, please contact Village Tots directly. Membership to their group is left to their discretion. Thank you for your continued support!
